The COS enables to joint the lugs of the groups to the
relevant connections.

Rotating system and structure

Electrically welded sheet equipped with four stations turntable composed by
cells to let in the plate groups.

Detail information of each process

• 1st STATION (Loading and Aligning)
  – Supplying groups to COS machine by 180° rotation loader which is controlled by servo motor
  – Rotating unit in gripper for flexible selecting among various polarity disposition
  – Intensifer for reinforcement of firm holding of gripper finger
  – Vibrating unit on bottom part and pincer type aligning unit for upper lug part
  – Easy changeover of lug aligner unit(inserting type) if lug center distance and lug width are different
  – Easy tooling changeover if plate height, width and group thickness are different

• 2nd STATION (Lug brushing, Fluxing and Drying)
  – Lug brushing, fluxing and drying
  – Tinning unit available (Option)

• 3rd STATION (Molding)
  – Using servo motor for precise control of depth of lug in strap and also of the movement (timing of dipping and dipping speed)
  – Digital flow meter for precise control of cooling water amount
  – Mold pre-heat station has its own individual temperature control and water cooling system

• 4th STATION (Unloading)
  – Automatic group unloading & inserting unit into battery container including container feeding and discharging conveyor
